This Hunger

This hunger that causes so much pain
Is within us from the first breath;
It causes us to rise from being pithy moths
To being large-hearted zealous messiahs.
This hunger born of the noodles you ate
Last night to the desire to pen that poesie
And bag all the laurels of the world.
This hunger without which you would be
A nobody, causing you to feel the breeze
And a symphony. This hunger that causes
So much pain is there like an itch waiting
To be scratched, rising now from sadness
To happiness in the other, this hunger
That causes so much pain.

kind to mother earth

Starting with our human realm
We can summon courage and dream
Of saving Mother Earth, of being kind to her
And dare to win her over; do you dare?
The sun that shines on us nourishing us
Doesn't charge us a farthing and illuminates us,
The water in the rivers and seas replenish
Us
And quench our thirst; so with this thirst
For knowledge where do we seek to go
From here in this man eat man world;
Let's take the first step and start with kindness
From now on, kind to Mother Earth, kind to all!

hair falls out

As your hair falls out and I collect it
And hand it over to you I am giving you
A sense of what it would be to be
Youthful again; cheer up: age is just a number.
