I am sorry you misconstrued,
Beat my ego down to pulp,
But those salty tears now falling hard
I hold back and down I gulp.
I am sorry there was little time
To dance to songs and sing to rhymes,
But that divine order I find cryptic,
What's in store is shy, mystic.
It hides from me, but it gives me signs,
A feeling and a pause sublime,
I know I shouldn't push and pull,
But what if of inertia I am full?
I said Sorry, yet I don't know if,
What is willed will or won't,
But what's a given is that I will give
My utmost, my very most.
I rise like a bird into the sky,
With the wind in my hair
And the sun in my eyes,
Onto the long road so fair.
And I take you under my wing, don't I?
I said Sorry, right, didn't I?
I patched it like tweed, didn't I?
Will I be forgiven, won't I?
Very well written... almost felt like picking up a guitar and strumming along. Has lovely poignant country song quality to it.
