One look, and I gazed,
That feeling has left me so dazed,
I'm amazed At the profundity
Of that thought, the serenity
Of that compassionate gaze is fraught
With stardust in those very bones
Of a bloody battle hard fought,
Is there no more peace
In that gaze, a friendship lost,
But I am still dazed.
I knew not we were trapped in a maze
Going round and round in a haze,
The golden Sun in your hair,
But my well-fought battle lost -- unfair,
So many words I meant to speak,
As I run over them now all I've tweaked,
Into the deep, dark silence of your gaze,
The shining, but sullied of a lost case,
A negative paradigm of a friendship gone cold,
But I'm still amazed by your dazed gaze.
