What brings us together is different dolours,
As we fill the room with different colours;
We, sitting here in different postures,
Make varied posits and departures;
You, so green with envy now,
And you, so white with peace endowed,
Some so blue they look like water,
Some so red and flaming like torture,
Some seemingly in the pink of health,
All of us built in different browns with stealth,
Some so forlorn that the greys may hit us,
And black clouds May come and totally drench us;
Each looking for a strip of white cloud
That the rays may hit us and us shroud;
Differently-made like the Apple, the peach and damson,
Our leaves differently-shimmering like the fir, the peepal and ferns,
The self- same heat of the glorious Sun
Bathes us, through the self-same earth our differently-tapered roots do run;
We each take different postures and turns
As we seek for a Ray of hope and burn,
And burn, burn, burn through life, inspiration abounding,
Standing still as trees of lively nurturing,
We, all differently-hued like the rainbow,
May we seize each day just so.
As we fill the room with different colours;
We, sitting here in different postures,
Make varied posits and departures;
You, so green with envy now,
And you, so white with peace endowed,
Some so blue they look like water,
Some so red and flaming like torture,
