The decree

A hundred bells toll for me,
And more than that toll for thee,
But sometimes I really do feel,
That they ring and sing just for me.
I have arrived at this crossroads now
Where more than a vision loud
And screaming, teeming with all those lies
Lay bare the truth that can no more hide.
With fortitude and my head held high,
I cross many shores to deny,
That your intention is true, but your volition not,
What else can I do without
A single morsel, but my heart so proud,
My goodwill will never die,
And I'm sure you can see the sky,
Beneath which all the leaves do shimmer
In sunlight's gaze they wither and glimmer.
The mountains snow-peaked touch the clouds,
My mind right there with no more doubt,
That all is good and all will be
If only you could see the decree.
