I'm a time traveller
Didn't I tell you every time,
Even though you're close and near
I've blocked you in my mind;
Was it just yesterday or the day before
That you professed eternal bonhomie,
But to me you're just a dark cloud
Floating by in my destiny.
You're a time traveller
Just like me, Whenever your voice does ring,
I know not if you're in my face
Or in a distant place, where clocks don't ring;
And the melody you sang me years ago
Still plays so in my ears,
But what you said just yesterday
Has blanked out amidst my fears.
So travelling time
In my mind
I know I'll see you again;
And through Sun, wind and rain
May we etch immortal
Sketches in timescape.
