Free as a bird

I thought I wanted to be free,
Free as a bird,
But now our destinies,
Have intertwined and hurt.
I miss the shackles,
And the care,
What is what
That's beyond repair.
I miss the golden moments
And now I'm free as a bird,
How I long for a nest
From where I can take wing unperturbed.
No more will I hope
To be free as a bird.
