A formidable foe

My foe, when did you harbour
Hatred in your heart first towards me?
Was it yesterday or was it in a past life?
Even though I bear you no enmity,
You have decided to beguile me,
First, with your complaints and second,
With your overbearing attitude.
I, who only seek, kindness and humility,
And service to humanity; the violence
You have wreaked against me
Rains down in your foul words.
Arise, my foe! Embrace goodness;
It's never too late to give up
Violence and foul speech;
What is within reach is freedom
From your slavish behaviour,
With love in my heart I offer
You a plateful of food; arise
And awake! Stop not till the
Goal is reached in laying down
All the armoury and laying sweet kisses;
I am not meek but sweet amidst
Adversities, laying down my sword;
Abandoning foul words, kindness in
My heart as I understand how you
Must be troubled by delusions!
What goes around, comes around;
Karma is like a pendulum that
Knows how to keep minutes,
Sliding first back and then forth!
Love is in granting freedom and
Accepting your faults; grant me
Life, a life of freedom; not your
Ascerbic, caustic words; abandon
Slavery, give up your blindness
For real hope; make the effort
To be kind or must you always
Be so blind?
