mother radiant

My mother so radiant as the sun, 

Her heart full of hope, love and peace;

Her eyes glitter from the million gems

She has seen; seeking courage and belief;

My mind a quagmire of untold sorrows

That mother refuses to acknowledge or gather;

My mother who has seen God before

Sees the light of hope in everyone.
