What I love about us

To begin with have you realised
That at this time in the whole heat of Summer
In Winter's nest I do lie?
And you in Spring bask gloriously
Amidst the fragrance of the fresh buds
And the fluttering butterflies.
To begin with have you fathomed
That my soul widens at your kiss
As does my blood and every atom?
And you respite amidst my gloom
And task under the wondrous vast sky
And regale me with tales to my memory fortified.
To begin with have you ever felt
That at this time I soak in swelt
As you precipitate?
And despite the calumnous
Facts of us I still
Have fallen deeply in love with your sultry eyes.
To say the least, despite different seasons
We find reasons
To our heart and hold each other's tunes,
Me in an igloo, you upon a dune
In another galaxy, another time
And yet we meet
And have exchanges sweet
And I smell musty
And you smell neat
And you accept me
And I accept you
And this makes me love you even more
That my love for you has gone beyond reason,
Beyond the altering rhythm of seasons
And I enjoy the dance to our
Heartbeats
And the efflugent surge of emotions I feel
And that so many times I've thought I'd just kneel
And fall at your feet,
May our climes always blend
And may we always meet like this
Just across the bend.
